Waiting is an action. We can fill our worlds with tasks to pass the time. We therefore though avoid waiting.
Waiting on God means that we turn our attention to God but also that we carry hope of what He will do in our lives.
While we have a propensity to try to figure out things for ourselves, we have to take action to trust and wait.
God designed us to wait on Him. Every day, as we go about our day, He created us to be conscious of Him and therefore utilize the choice and action of waiting on Him. (Psalm 16:11)
